The group has slowly been growing more popular of the past 4 years. This increased attention has been double edged for the Open Mind. More followers flock to the group, but there are those that leave with a unhappy tale to tell.
"I was a member for about 7 months" said Alann Wortum speaking to this reporter. "I came to the US leaving another group, Compulsions Analysis, in the UK. I has hoping to find something here I couldn't there. I was pretty disappointed right from the off. A lot of quasi-science about universal frequencies and energies. Then there was the numerous "levels" within the group. I spent a month in "transitory expulsion" where I was kept secluded from both the outside world and group members before being allowed to leave. It was hellish, but my wife, -she was so happy to have me home"
